We are honoured to provide the Energy Storage System for Wasaline Ferry NB 6002. The 2.2 MWh battery pack will be used for port entry/departure, peak shaving, hotel load and boost power. The Leclanché Marine Rack System that will be used for this project is type approved according to the DNV-GL and RINA standards, two of the strictest marine certification standards in the world. Moreover, the battery system provided by Leclanché uses high energy and high cycle life lithium-ion G-NMC cells with unique safety features including bi-cell laminate design and ceramic separators to ensure performance does not come at the cost of safety. We boast a leading position on maritime Li-ion battery safety with intrinsically safe battery technology and, in addition, high performance marine certified active fire extinguishing systems for total peace of mind.
